Job summary

Lloyd’s London Market Insurer in London is seeking an experienced Engineering & Construction Claims Adjuster to manage a diverse portfolio from initial notification to settlement.

The successful candidate will proactively adjust claims, maintain appropriate financial provisions, and build strong relationships with underwriters, actuaries, and external counsel. This role requires deep knowledge of policy coverage and regulatory issues along with strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Extensive prior experience in Engineering and/or Construction claims adjusting.
• Understanding of policy coverage, negotiations and claims strategy.
• Knowledge of legal, regulatory and territorial issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Lloyd’s insurance market knowledge preferred.
• Honesty, integrity and accountability in all actions.
• Positive, enthusiastic and confident disposition.

Responsibilities

• Proactively adjust claims through to resolution.
• Ensure sufficient financial provisions for all claims.
• Develop collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, in particular with the Underwriters and Actuaries.
• Ensure effective technical oversight of TPAs/Service Providers via regular contact meetings, peer reviews, as well as technical file reviews.
• Instructing and proactively working with Panel Lawyers, Adjusters, and Experts to ensure the best outcomes whilst controlling costs and reducing claims leakage.
