Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Senior Engineer to join Kier Design, delivering construction engineering services across a diverse portfolio. You will lead temporary works design, design management and technical assessments, while guiding multidisciplinary teams to meet safety, buildability and quality standards.

The role offers agile working with location flexibility across the UK; you will act as lead on projects, manage staff workloads and contribute to development of the team within Kier Design.

Qualifications

• Incorporated member of a relevant professional institution (e.g. IEng MICE) with demonstrable experience.
• Experience leading delivery of construction engineering services including temporary works design, design management and technical assessments.
• Strong communicator with client and multidisciplinary teams; committed to CPD and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of temporary works design, tender support, alternative solutions and design management advice across projects.
• Manage day-to-day workloads of engineers and technical staff, ensuring technical compliance and quality of design deliverables.
• Act as lead representative at project meetings, maintaining client relationships and contractual obligations.
• Oversee financial and commercial aspects, monitor progress against programme and budget.
• Provide leadership to the team, conduct performance reviews and support staff development within Kier Design.
