AECOM’s Leeds Streets team seeks a Senior Engineer to lead innovative active travel and traffic engineering projects across Leeds and beyond. You’ll guide concept to detailed design, manage outputs, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with clients and stakeholders.

Applicants bring proven experience in Active Travel schemes, familiarity with design standards, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office. This role offers flexible hybrid working and a supportive professional environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design teams across active travel and traffic engineering projects.
• Ability to plan, review and deliver technical outputs to clients and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of design standards and CDM health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead scheme development from concept through detailed design and delivery.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage project timelines and budgets.
• Mentor graduates and technicians and maintain quality standards.
• Prepare drawings, reports and specifications in line with briefs.
• Engage with clients and external stakeholders to secure project success.
