Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick, part of VolkerWessels UK, is recruiting a Senior Engineer for our Sturry Link Road project in Canterbury. The role covers a 550-metre road and a 250-metre viaduct over the Great Stour River and the Canterbury–Ramsgate railway line.

You will manage engineering duties, produce RAMS and temporary works briefs, ITPs, and progress updates, and issue NCRs, TQs and Early Warnings. The position is on-site and you will report to a Site Agent.

Qualifications

• MEng/BEng/Foundation Degree/BTEC/Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum of 3 years of varied site experience in Civil Engineering.
• Knowledge and understanding of construction management.
• Business awareness.
• Effective use of initiative.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all engineering duties and ensuring engineers under control complete theirs.
• Produce RAMS, temporary works briefs, ITPs, weekly progress and planning updates, NCRs, TQs and Early Warnings.

We have an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Engineer to play an integral part of delivering our project at Sturry Link Road in Canterbury.

The project will consist of a 550-metre-long road and a 250-meter viaduct to be built over the Great Stour River and the railway line from Canterbury to Ramsgate.

As the Senior Engineer you will be responsible for all engineering duties and ensuring the engineers under their control complete theirs. You will also produce RAMS, temporary works briefs, ITP's, weekly progress and planning updates, NCR's, TQs and Early Warnings. The role will be based on-site and will report to a Site Agent.

About you
