Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead mobilisation, governance, PMO and delivery improvement across major capital programmes in the UK energy sector. You will design governance, provide practical, insight-led advice, and help clients strengthen delivery capability while engaging with senior leadership.

You will lead workstreams, embed controls, support performance reporting and contribute to proposals while developing junior colleagues within a collaborative advisory team.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline such as Project Management, Business Management, Engineering, Science or Technology.
• Analytical, commercially aware and delivery-focused with ability to bring structure to complex environments.
• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and communicate insights and recommendations clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead programme management, PMO or governance workstreams on major capital programmes.
• Design and embed governance, controls, reporting and assurance frameworks tailored to client needs.
• Provide informed challenge on planning, risk, issues, dependencies and change management.
• Support senior client stakeholders through performance reporting, decision-making materials and governance forums.
• Mobilise and improve PMO capability, including ways of working, controls maturity and management information.
• Contribute to proposals, client presentations, thought leadership and business development.
• Support and develop junior colleagues within the team.
