Job summary

Harper James is seeking a Senior Employment Solicitor (Consultant) with a minimum of 10 years' PQE to join the team on a consultancy basis. You will handle a broad range of employment matters for a diverse client base, from startups to international businesses, while retaining autonomy and benefiting from the firm's support and technology.

You will work with founders, senior leadership, HR teams and in-house counsel, providing pragmatic advice and strategic guidance to manage risk and achieve

Qualifications

• 10+ years' PQE in employment law required.
• Experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
• Experience advising founder-led businesses/start-ups advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and deliver pragmatic, commercially-focused advice.
• Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead on contentious and non-contentious employment matters for diverse clients.
• Advise on day-to-day workforce issues, restructures, TUPE, redundancies, and exec severances.
• Collaborate with founders, senior leadership teams, HR and in-house counsel to manage risk and commercial objectives.
• Draft consultancy agreements and advise on IR35 status.
• Manage matters with a pragmatic, client-focused approach.
