Job summary

Lex Exec Limited partners with a leading UK law firm to appoint an experienced Employment Senior Associate in Birmingham, 4+ PQE. The role offers a mix of contentious and non-contentious work, with exposure to major employers across sectors and the opportunity to supervise junior lawyers.

The successful candidate will have strong employment law experience, excellent drafting and client-relations skills, and a pragmatic, commercially minded approach.

Qualifications

• Strong experience advising employers on contentious and non-contentious Employment matters.
• The ability to manage Employment Tribunal proceedings and complex advisory instructions.
• Excellent technical, drafting and client relationship skills.
• A commercially minded and pragmatic approach to advising clients.
• Experience supervising junior colleagues, or an interest in developing these responsibilities.
• Approximately 4 years' PQE or more in Employment law within private practice or in-house environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead on Employment Tribunal proceedings and complex advisory matters.
• Advise major employers across sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, retail and higher education.
• Develop and maintain direct relationships with established clients.
• Work closely with experienced Partners on significant and technically challenging instructions.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, contributing to the wider development of the team.
• Participate in client training, business development and the continued growth of the practice.
