Job summary

ABM UK is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to provide pragmatic, timely advice on discipline, grievances, TUPE, absence management, and HR policy matters. You will support line managers and operational leads across the London region as required.

The role requires strong ER knowledge, ability to handle high volumes in a fast-paced environment, and a collaborative approach to improve employee engagement and ensure policy compliance. Maternity cover.

Qualifications

• Strong ER knowledge and expertise or willingness to lead/develop.
• Experience in facilities management, hospitality, or retail.
• Fast-paced, high-volume ER case handling.
• Ability to prioritise effectively and maintain attention to detail.
• Knowledge of TUPE and employment law basics.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for all managers on ER cases in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure ER matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and Company requirements.
• Log and update all ER queries for reporting purposes.
• Work with line manager to monitor, review and update policies in line with current legislation and best practice.
• Prepare employment tribunal responses and evidence bundles and work with the legal team to minimise financial and legal risk.
• Help managers implement initiatives to drive continuous improvement and employee engagement.
• Undertake coaching and training with managers to improve people management skills.
• Develop and coach operational managers.
• Collaborate with HR administration and Payroll to ensure accurate data records.
