Job summary

Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is recruiting Senior Clinical Advisors for the Emergency Operations Centres in Wakefield and York. The role requires RN1 or Paramedic registration with post-qualification experience in acute or primary care and telephone triage capability.

This fixed-term training contract runs for seven weeks with a view to permanent appointment and offers a rotational option and full-time training. Homeworking is not available.

Qualifications

• Registered professional (RN1 or HPCP/Paramedic) with current registration.
• Experience in emergency care and assessment of high acuity symptoms.
• Experience of telephone triage.
• Experience of mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Assess health and clinical needs using evidence-based practice and decision support software.
• Deliver care with generalist and specialist clinical skills.
• Make quick, safe clinical decisions under pressure and identify red-flag symptoms.
