Join Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust as an Emergency Operations Centre Dispatcher in York or Wakefield. You will coordinate ambulance resources to meet demand, mobilise teams using the CAD system, and liaise with road staff to ensure rapid, effective patient responses.

You’ll be part of a busy Operations Centre where priorities shift quickly, requiring calm, precise decision-making and strong teamwork to deliver a vital 24/7 service for Yorkshire and the Humber.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating ambulance resources to meet service demand.
• Ability to liaise directly with ambulance staff on the road to support responses.
• Capable of maintaining focus and clear thinking in high-pressure, fast-changing situations.

Responsibilities

• Use the Computer Aided Dispatch System to mobilise ambulance resources where required in line with ambulance response targets.
• Liaise directly with ambulance staff out on the road to support the best response to patient needs.
• Work as part of an Operations Centre team where priorities change quickly and every minute counts.
