Job summary

Zenovo in Lancashire seeks an experienced Senior Embedded Electronics Engineer to join a growing engineering team. You will own the design and delivery of embedded electronic products, combining hardware, firmware and test to meet performance and reliability goals.

You will work cross-functionally with hardware, software and mechanical teams, drive design improvements and produce development reports. Mentoring will develop less experienced engineers as projects move to production.

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded electronics or embedded systems engineering.
• Degree in electronics or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of embedded microcontroller designs.
• Experience with C and/or C++ programming for embedded systems.
• PCB design and hardware integration experience.
• Familiarity with SPI, I2C, UART and CAN protocols.
• Ability to design test plans and work across hardware/software teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement embedded electronic systems and solutions.
• Develop firmware for microcontroller-based products.
• Design electronic hardware including schematics and PCB layouts.
• Perform system integration, testing and fault finding.
• Produce technical documentation and development reports.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers.
