Job summary

Cortech Talent Solutions is seeking a Principal or Senior Embedded Product Engineer for a Bristol-based role. You will work across embedded firmware, electronics, and systems engineering to take products from concept through manufacture and deployment.

The successful candidate will mentor engineers, review PCB designs, and collaborate with software, hardware, and manufacturing teams in a fast-moving SME. Expect broad technical exposure and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience developing embedded products.
• Strong embedded firmware development experience across multi-discipline projects.
• Ability to read and understand electronic schematics and PCB designs.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded firmware for MCU-based products.
• Design and debug embedded systems with modern tools.
• Review electronics schematics and PCB designs.
• Investigate hardware and firmware issues using lab equipment.
• Capture requirements and contribute to system architecture.
• Develop prototypes and support product integration.
• Collaborate with external design partners and manufacturers.
• Support products through manufacture and deployment.
• Participate in design reviews and verification activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
