Job summary

TipTopJob is looking for a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to join our R&D team in Oxfordshire. You will design, develop and support next-generation embedded electronic products across the full lifecycle, from concept through production, with ownership of firmware and hardware.

The role requires proven embedded electronics design experience, strong Embedded C skills, and familiar with ARM Cortex, microcontrollers and schematic/PCB work.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related discipline.
• Proven experience in embedded electronics design.
• Strong Embedded C programming skills.
• Experience designing analogue and digital circuits.
• PCB design and schematic capture experience.
• Experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems.
• Hardware and firmware debugging experience.

Responsibilities

• Embedded firmware development using Embedded C.
• Design of analogue and digital electronic circuits.
• Schematic capture and PCB design/layout.
• Development of microcontroller-based systems.
• Working with ARM Cortex, PIC and similar embedded platforms.
• Design and development of communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, RS232, RS485, Ethernet).
• Hardware and firmware debugging, testing and validation.
• Supporting power electronics designs including DC-DC converters.
• EMC-conscious product design and compliance activities.
• Rapid prototyping and product development.
