Job summary

OLIX is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to own a DX-1 platform firmware component from simulation through FPGA prototypes and first silicon into production.

The role covers boot and update, platform management on the BMC, embedded Linux on platform processors, real-time firmware on constrained cores, and ASIC register-level control. You will work with FPGA, ASIC, and Systems Software teams in a pre-silicon environment.

Qualifications

• Strong C on bare metal and C/C++ on Linux.
• Systems fundamentals: interrupts, memory ordering, synchronization.
• Shipped firmware on real hardware and debugged at bench with oscilloscope/logic analyzer.
• Embedded Linux platform work: Yocto/OpenEmbedded, U-Boot/UEFI, device tree.
• Test discipline: loop tests, hardware-in-the-loop validation.
• A subsystem owned end-to-end from design to production.

Responsibilities

• Own a subsystem end to end: design, implement, test on simulation and hardware-in-the-loop, bring-up on real hardware, production use.
• Work across the stack: boot firmware, Linux kernel/drivers, management services, and bare-metal code.
• Test what you build: firmware tests, bench scripts, and device models.
• Anticipate risks and drive to completion, ensuring work ships.
• Lead initiatives when cross-team effort is needed, align interfaces.
• Set the standard by example: code reviews, documentation, and clear plans.
