Job summary

OLIX in London seeks an Architect/Staff/Principal engineer to own hardware-software integration from pre-silicon to sustainment, spanning ASIC, BMC, and photonic interconnect fabric. You will partner with the Director of Software Engineering to set architectural direction, define standards, and drive cross‑functional teams while shaping the company's engineering roadmap.

Experience delivering complex hardware-software integration architecture.
Proven ability to lead technically across silicon and software teams.
Strong communication and ability to write architectural design documents.

Responsibilities

Own the technical direction for your team and set architectural standards.
Translate priorities into concrete execution plans and deliverables.
Define interface contracts and ensure consistent implementation across domains.
Make hard domain decisions on BSP/firmware, ASIC validation, and interconnects.
Drive alignment and collaboration across engineering teams.
Oversee full lifecycle from pre-silicon to sustainment and field issue resolution.
Mentor engineers to raise the overall technical bar and judgement.
