Job summary

OLIX is seeking an Architect/Staff Embedded Software Engineer to lead hardware‑software integration for the DX‑1 accelerator, spanning ASIC, BMC, and photonic interconnect fabric from pre‑silicon through sustainment.

You will shape architectural standards and own critical decisions, partner with the Director of Software Engineering, mentor engineers, and ensure scalable firmware and platform software across the full stack.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise across firmware and hardware‑software co‑development.
• Embedded Linux BSP experience with Yocto/OpenEmbedded and device trees.
• Experience with BMC/OpenBMC, IPMI/IPMB, and Redfish/PLDM.
• Experience with high‑speed SerDes and photonic interconnect bring‑up.
• Proven track record delivering complex hardware‑software integration.
• Strong ability to influence architecture decisions with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction for your team.
• Translate priorities into concrete execution plans.
• Hold the technical bar with defined principles and contracts.
• Make hard calls in BSP/firmware architecture and interconnect design.
• Drive alignment across engineers and adjacent teams.
• Own full lifecycle from pre‑silicon to sustainment and production.
• Raise the team level through code review and design feedback.
