Job summary
Hastings Direct is seeking an experienced designer to build a scalable email design system and transcode components into email templates. You will create responsive templates for CRM, lifecycle, promotions, service and transactional emails, ensuring alignment with the brand, principles and visual language.
You’ll document usage patterns, develop reusable components, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support our communications ambitions, while following WCAG AA accessibility
Qualifications
- Strong experience designing and evolving digital design systems.
- Proven experience designing responsive email templates and email communication frameworks.
- Experience creating reusable components, patterns, and design libraries.
- Strong understanding of email design best practices and email client constraints.
- Excellent visual design skills with strong typography, layout, and information hierarchy.
- Experience using Figma and modern design system workflows.
- Deep understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG AA requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of HTML email development considerations.
- Experience working with CRM and marketing automation platforms.
