Job summary

Hastings Direct is seeking a skilled Email Design System Designer to build and evolve a scalable email design system that underpins all communications. You will transpose components into templates for CRM, promotions, service and transactional emails, ensuring alignment with Hastings Direct’s brand and accessibility standards.

The role requires creating reusable components, documenting patterns, and collaborating with marketing, product and engineering teams to support a wide range of email

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and evolving digital design systems.
• Proven experience designing responsive email templates and email communication frameworks.
• Experience creating reusable components, patterns, and design libraries.
• Strong understanding of email design best practices and email client constraints.
• Excellent visual design skills with typography, layout, and information hierarchy.
• Experience using Figma and modern design system workflows.
• Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG AA).
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of HTML email development considerations.
• Experience working with CRM systems and marketing automation platforms.
