Job summary

Fortis Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Electronics Technician to work in Warwick on a hands-on, development‑focused role. You will engage with prototypes, PCB modifications, and test boards as part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team.

The role emphasises practical wiring, circuit verification and a contributory approach to bringing designs from concept to working prototypes in a studio-based environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on soldering and PCB rework experience required.
• Experience in a product development, R&D or prototype environment.
• Solid understanding of PCBs and basic electronic circuits.
• Familiarity with electronics CAD systems.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage competing requests.
• Strong communication skills across engineering disciplines.
• A relevant Electronics qualification.
• Ability to quickly absorb new information and develop technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Hand-soldering and reworking PCBs to a high standard, including small surface-mount components.
• Build prototype circuits, modify circuits and breadboard assemblies from briefs.
• Support electronics development across multiple projects.
• Use electronics CAD systems to investigate PCB designs.
• Progress into PCB component creation and test-board layouts.
• Assist engineers with testing, modifications and development tasks.
• Maintain the electronics laboratory and workshop organisation.
• Coordinate workload and multiple project requests.
• Collaborate with designers, mechanical and software engineers.
