Job summary

Novanta is hiring a Senior Electronics Engineer for its Stockport site. You will design analogue, digital and embedded electronic systems for high-precision laser and medical technology applications, translating customer requirements into robust hardware solutions.

You will define architecture, oversee design, testing and verification, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performance electronics that meet EMC and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant industrial electronics development experience.
• Strong analogue and digital design knowledge.
• Embedded systems experience.
• PCB design and schematic capture expertise.
• Experience using electronic laboratory equipment.
• Understanding EMC and product compliance requirements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and influence technical decisions.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and taking ownership of products from concept through to production.

You will play a key role in the design and development of next-generation electronics hardware, working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams to create innovative products that make a measurable impact in global markets.

You will be involved in architecture definition, design, testing, verification and product enhancement, helping shape the future direction of our technology platforms.
