Job summary
Unipart Coventry is launching a flagship, fast-paced manufacturing project combining high-volume electrification assembly with injection moulding inputs. We seek a Senior Advanced Engineering Leader to drive strategy, NPI and capability building, reporting to senior executives.
Ideal candidates have Defence/Aerospace manufacturing background with AQAP 2110/AS9100D, strong leadership and hands-on governance of FMEA, Lean Six Sigma, and safety standards in a large-scale environment.
Qualifications
- Proven track record leading an engineering department or senior function.
- Defence or aerospace manufacturing background with AQAP 2110/AS9100D experience.
- Experience with First Article Inspection (FAIR/AS9102) and defense line-validation processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the operational engineering strategy and NPI processes for fast-paced delivery.
- Direct process control for electrification assembly lines and moulding inputs.
- Hit quality, cost, and delivery targets (QCD) with zero-defect and right-first-time standards.
- Embed Unipart Way and Lean tools across the engineering team.
- Oversee compliance to safety and defence standards (AQAP 2110, AS9100D, ISO 14001).
