Job summary

Unipart Manufacturing is recruiting a Production Manager for a high-volume assembly project in Coventry, merging electrification inputs with injection moulding. You will lead shop-floor operations, embed lean processes, and direct production teams to achieve world-class safety, quality, and output.

Tracking rapid growth from 0 to 200+ production colleagues within months, you will drive continuous improvement, coach teams, and partner with Quality, Engineering, Toolroom, and Logistics to hit KPIs

Qualifications

Experience leading high-volume manufacturing teams.
Proven Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement experience (5S, Kaizen, Poke-Yoke, JIT).
Strong people leadership and communication skills.
Technical familiarity with assembly lines, electrification inputs, or injection moulding is desirable.
HND/NVQ/ILM Level qualification or equivalent and Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision and leadership to production teams to meet on-time output and schedules.
Lead rapid scale-up, motivate and develop teams, conduct shift briefings and capability building.
Coach teams in lean manufacturing, root-cause problem solving, and standard work.
Maintain Health & Safety compliance and housekeeping to high standards.
Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Toolroom, Maintenance, and Logistics to minimise downtime and control costs.
Shape processes and adapt to changing priorities during a fast-paced project.
