Job summary

Unipart Manufacturing is seeking a Quality Manager to lead quality strategy across high-volume electrification assembly and injection moulding projects in Coventry. You will establish QMS, drive zero-defect initiatives, and ensure compliance with aerospace and defence standards.

The role focuses on strategic leadership, regulatory oversight, and supplier/customer quality assurance within a dynamic, fast-paced program.

Qualifications

• Proven quality leadership in high-precision manufacturing, aerospace, or defence environments.
• Deep knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001, AQAP 2110, and DEF STAN standards.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA and root-cause analysis (8D/5-Why).
• Hands-on quality across electrification integration and plastic injection moulding tolerances.
• Experience with 8D problem-solving, concessions, PPAP, and audit frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Quality Leadership – drive quality strategy, QMS, and KPIs across NPI and production.
• Compliance and Regulatory Oversight – lead AS9100 / ISO 9001 and AQAP / DEF STAN compliance.
• Specialised Process Governance – oversee quality for electrification safety and welding standards.
• Customer and Supplier Assurance – interface for clients and suppliers, manage 8D and audits.
• SHE and Safety Management – ensure quality activities align with SHE legislation.
