Job summary

QinetiQ in the UK is seeking a Senior Electrical Technician at our West Freugh site near Stranraer to support MoD trials mobilisation, delivery and maintenance activity across site infrastructure. You will lead repair and preventative maintenance, coordinate contractors, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while enabling the Range's operations.

A recognised electrical apprenticeship and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

Experience in inspection, testing and fault finding.
Knowledge of BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Strong technical background with maintenance schedules, installation, commissioning and problem solving.
Demonstrate a full and thorough understanding of operational health & safety and safe working practises.
Good knowledge and level of competency in other areas of building services (BMS, mechanical).
Proficient with IT and basic software such as Word and Excel and using Maintenance Software packages.

Responsibilities

Leading set up and demobilisation of trials infrastructure in line with trials instructions.
Delivering specialist technical maintenance support & services for building plant/equipment and site services.
Prioritisation of work programme to satisfy business needs.
Ensuring robust health, safety & environmental procedures & processes are followed.
Ensuring maintenance standards and quality of work meet required levels and regulations.
Overseeing the conduct of contractors on site and monitoring task performance.
