Job summary

Rullion is seeking a Lead Technician in Derby to join a busy depot, supporting servicing, fault finding, repair and reliability improvements for modern rolling stock. You will bring NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, and experience with maintenance management systems such as SAP; 24/7 shift roster experience preferred.

This 6-month contract offers potential extension and competitive pay, with duties including leading fault-finding, producing scopes

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
  • Experience working in maintenance, overhaul, modification or production environments.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience using maintenance management systems.
  • Experience of working a 24/7 shift roster.
  • Excellent safety awareness within a regulated engineering environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on rolling stock assets.
  • Support planned and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Identify and rectify electrical defects.
  • Produce technical scopes of work and support reliability improvements.
  • Provide technical support during service failures and depot operations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using SAP and other maintenance systems.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.

Are you an experienced Electrician Technician ready to step into a lead role with one of the UK's most advanced train fleets?

We are seeking a Technician to join a busy maintenance depot in Derby, supporting the servicing, fault finding, repair, and reliability improvement of modern rolling stock. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled electrical technician looking for a long-term contract with strong earning potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on rolling stock assets.
