Job summary

QinetiQ Limited is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Electrical) for the Eskmeals site in Millom, UK. The role focuses on maintaining critical site infrastructure, lighting, power distribution and building services while supporting fire alarm and HVAC systems.

The position is permanent, full-time, based on site with 37 hours per week, and requires a valid UK driving licence. A salary of £34,200–£38,000 and benefits are offered, with eligibility for SC clearance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience carrying out electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs.
• Experience in facilities management, manufacturing, industrial, defence or building services environments.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across site facilities and infrastructure.
• Diagnose faults and repair electrical systems, lighting circuits and power supplies.
• Perform inspection, testing and maintenance in line with site procedures and statutory requirements.
• Support building services systems including fire alarms and HVAC equipment.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with requirements.
