Job summary

WSP in Birmingham is seeking an Electrical Technical Director for our Data Centres (DC) sector. You will lead a team of engineers, shape electrical design strategy, and ensure reliable, scalable data centre performance across the UK and EMEA.

You will drive energy efficiency, budgets, client relationships, and project delivery, collaborating with senior leadership to win work and ensure the highest standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
• Proven leadership of electrical engineering teams.
• Experience with data centre electrical design and energy management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and technical direction for DC projects.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and project delivery.
• Develop client relationships and promote WSP capabilities.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor engineers and maintain high safety/quality standards.
