Job summary

WSP in London is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for data centre projects within the Mission Critical Facilities team. You will work on technically challenging schemes for clients across the UK and EMEA, delivering robust electrical designs and specifications.

Qualifications

• Chartered status with a recognized engineering body or working towards Chartered status.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual designs for electrical distribution systems from EHV to LV including HV equipment, UPS, switchgear and monitoring systems.
• Provide client advice on electrical systems to meet business needs.
• Lead the design of data centre electrical systems and equipment.
• Prepare design development notes and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with Architect and Structural engineers and other disciplines.
• Produce calculations and tender documentation.
• Monitor installation to ensure compliance with employer requirements and safety codes.
• Engage in client-facing discussions to agree requirements.
• Work independently and as part of the WSP project team.
