KLA is seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer within the SPTS Engineering division to advance our semiconductor process systems integration. You will contribute to the design, testing, and validation of ETCH equipment, wiring harnesses, and prototypes while supporting production handoffs and commissioning at customer sites.

The Semiconductor Products and Customers (Semi PC) business unit designs, builds and sells KLA’s product portfolio to help chip manufacturers meet high-quality standards for technologies like AI, data centers, automotive and electronic devices. Our inspection, metrology, and analytics systems detect and monitor defects across logic and memory chips, specialty semiconductors, wafers, reticles, advanced packaging, process equipment and materials. We also develop technologies for specialty processes, IC substrates, and PCB manufacturing, including etch and deposition, component inspection, and imaging and analytics. The SPTS division provides advanced wafer processing solutions—including etch, deposition and vapor-based technologies—designed for R&D through high-volume production. In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise. Part of the SPTS Engineering division, the Equipment Engineering and Development Group is a multi-disciplined team, providing automation solutions to enable the integration of SPTS process systems into customer semiconductor fabrication factories worldwide. We are constantly developing new products, and this role was created to strengthen this aspect of our business. As the successful candidate, you will be an experienced Engineer with an understanding of electrical, electronic and mechanical systems, and will be capable of building a solid expertise in overall system operation, integration, and calibrations/diagnostics. Must have a hands‑on approach by learning from the engineering team to support Alpha & Beta Systems and retrofits. You'll team up with other specialists within a project advising on equipment design/integration. We work to tight deadlines in a highly regulated industry.
