Job summary

Trant Engineering is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead on-site electrical teams on nationwide energy projects, coordinating with civil and mechanical disciplines and subcontractors. You’ll enforce Electrical at Work compliance, BS 7671 standards, and project procedures, maintain accurate documentation, drive safe delivery, performance, and handover, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Must have JIB gold card.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• Electrical installation on industrial or infrastructure projects (5-7 years).
• Experience in a supervisory role (2-3 years).

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical operatives, electricians, apprentices and subcontractors on site.
• Oversee installation of electrical systems including containment, cabling, control panels, MCCs, motors, pumps, instrumentation interfaces, and power supplies.
• Ensure electrical works comply with design drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Coordinate electrical activities with civil, mechanical and process teams.
• Support electrical testing, inspection and commissioning activities.
• Enforce site health, safety and environmental procedures in line with UK legislation.
• Inspect completed works and ensure defects are rectified promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, workforce attendance and materials used.
