Job summary

Trant Engineering Ltd. is seeking a Graduate Site Electrical Engineer to support delivery on municipal, industrial process, and water projects across the UK.

This hands-on role provides exposure to site installation, commissioning, and maintenance while developing practical experience under guidance from senior engineers. You will work within Operations Management/Site Operations Management, supporting LV installations, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with BS7671 and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, HNC, or HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of LV systems, lighting, power distribution, and control equipment.
• Support the supervision of subcontractors and site electricians, ensuring adherence to drawings and specifications.
• Assist senior engineers with the commissioning and testing of electrical systems and equipment.
• Learn to perform functional tests and record results accurately.
• Support troubleshooting and minor fault‑finding activities under guidance.
• Assist with preventative maintenance activities and understand operational requirements of installed systems.
• Gain practical experience in interpreting design documents and schematics.
