Job summary

Trant Engineering Ltd in South East England is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead site-based electrical teams and subcontractors on complex water treatment projects. You will ensure safe, compliant installation works in line with project specs and UK regulations, reporting to the Project Manager/Site Manager.

Qualifications

• JIB / ECS gold card is essential.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation is essential.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) is essential.
• SSSTS is essential.
• Electrical installation on industrial or infrastructure projects (5–7 years) is essential.
• Experience in a supervisory role (2–3 years) is essential.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not provided.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical operatives, electricians, apprentices and subcontractors on site.
• Allocate work based on competence, project priorities and programme requirements.
• Monitor productivity, workmanship and compliance with specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to junior electrical staff.
• Oversee electrical installation systems including containment, cabling, control panels, MCCs, motors, pumps and interfaces.
• Coordinate electrical activities with civil, mechanical and process teams.
• Support electrical testing, inspection and commissioning activities.
• Enforce site HSE procedures and Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
