Job summary

Trant Engineering Ltd is recruiting an Electrical Supervisor for our South East England site. You will lead on-site electrical teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure safe, compliant installation works aligned with project programmes and specifications.

The role requires a JIB/ECS Gold Card, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, and 18th Edition BS 7671, with 2–3 years supervisory experience and a full UK driving licence. We offer a competitive package and career progression.

Qualifications

• JIB/ECS gold card and UK health and safety credentials are required.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation is essential.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) is essential.
• SSSTS qualification is desirable.
• 5–7 years’ electrical installation on industrial or infrastructure projects.
• 2–3 years’ supervisory experience on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise site-based electrical teams and subcontractors.
• Oversee electrical installation work to design, drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical and process teams on site.
• Support testing, inspection and commissioning activities.
• Maintain accurate site documentation and QA/QC records.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with Project Managers and client representatives on progress and issues.
