Job summary

John G Mackintosh Limited is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical projects from planning through handover, coordinating clients, consultants, engineers, site teams and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery and conformance with safety, quality and budget requirements.

You will oversee installation, testing and commissioning, review drawings and documentation, and drive project performance while maintaining strong client relationships and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing electrical projects in construction/building services.
• Proven ability to deliver mobilisations to handover.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installations, testing and commissioning.
• Full UK Driving Licence and PM qualification (APM/PRINCE2)

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical projects from planning and mobilisation through to completion and handover.
• Develop and manage project programmes, budgets and resource plans.
• Monitor project performance against programme, commercial and operational targets.
• Lead and coordinate project teams, engineers, site teams and subcontractors.
• Oversee electrical installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Review technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, design teams and other contractors.
• Manage project budgets, costs, forecasts, variations and commercial performance.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, performance and variations.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues and change.
• Lead and contribute to client, project and progress meetings.
• Ensure electrical works comply with relevant standards, regulations and project specifications.
• Drive safe project delivery and promote a strong health and safety culture.
• Ensure quality assurance, inspection and testing requirements are maintained.
• Oversee commissioning, snagging and successful final project handover.
• Maintain accurate project reporting and provide clear updates on project performance.
• Support and mentor members of the project and site teams.
