Job summary

John G Mackintosh Limited is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee on-site installation activities for building services projects in Scotland. You will supervise operatives and subcontractors, drive safety compliance, and ensure delivery against programmes and drawings.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and a proactive approach to resolve issues and maintain high workmanship standards throughout mechanical installations.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising mechanical operatives on construction sites.
• Strong understanding of mechanical building services installations and drawings.
• CSCS or recognised industry card required; health & safety qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily mechanical installation activities on site.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specs, programmes and procedures.
• Coordinate labour, materials, plant and subcontractors for efficient delivery.
• Monitor progress and report delays to the Project Manager.
• Maintain site safety and quality, supervise inspections and snagging.
• Support commissioning, testing and handover activities.
