Job summary

Ethos is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Electrical to lead design, specification and delivery of electrical systems for mission-critical data centres. You will operate in live environments, ensuring safety, efficiency and high technical standards while mentoring junior engineers.

You will liaise with clients and contractors across Europe, drive retrofit strategies, and contribute to proposals and technical strategies for retrofit opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years in building services engineering with data centre experience.
• Experience in live operational data centres and brownfield upgrades.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
• Proven track record managing multi‑million-euro MEP projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical building services design for live data centre environments.
• Deliver design, specifications, and delivery of electrical systems in live environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with clients and contractors across EMEA.
• Develop retrofit strategies including tie-ins to live systems and outage planning.
• Support proposals, client presentations, and technical strategies for retrofit opportunities across EMEA.
