Job summary

Ethos Engineering is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Mechanical to lead the design, specification and delivery of mechanical systems for retrofit projects in data centres. You will manage live environments, ensure safety and highest technical standards, mentor junior engineers and contribute to proposals across EMEA.

The role requires 8+ years in building services with data centre experience, Chartered status or progression toward it, and strong practice in MEP upgrades, tie-ins to live

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years in building services engineering, with data centre experience.
• Experience in live data centre environments and phased refurbishments.
• Chartered status or working towards Chartership.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of mechanical building services upgrades in live data centre environments.
• Develop retrofit design strategies including tie-ins to live systems and outage planning.
• Mentor junior engineers and support client/contractor interactions to achieve zero disruption.
• Support business development with technical strategies for retrofit opportunities across EMEA.
