Job summary
Essar Energy Transition seeks an experienced Electrical Manager to lead safe and compliant operation of refinery electrical systems. You will provide technical leadership, governance, and asset integrity across HV/LV networks, driving risk-based maintenance and investment strategy.
The role requires Chartered Engineer status or equivalent, with strong ability to lead teams, manage contractors, and influence stakeholders while ensuring safety and reliability.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering with professional registration or equivalent.
- Extensive HV safety, switching operations and safe systems of work experience.
- Experience as Electrical Technical Authority or similar senior role.
- Strong leadership, governance and budgeting capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to Electrical Engineers and Senior Technicians.
- Govern electrical safety, compliance with legislation and standards.
- Act as Site Electrical Technical Authority and Duty Holder for HV/LV networks.
- Oversee electrical engineering standards, risk management and changes.
- Develop asset strategy, maintenance plans and lifecycle decisions.
- Lead investigations into incidents and ensure lessons are implemented.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance and project teams.
