Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical direction for the electrical discipline within the Anglian Water one Alliance. You will review and coach the electrical team, ensuring designs meet current standards and project timelines for AMP8 initiatives.

You will collaborate with Portolio Design Managers and Project Design Managers, check specifications and drawings, and drive sustainable, low-carbon design solutions while mentoring junior engineers and

Qualifications

Engineering degree or equivalent with Chartered status or working towards
Experience of water-sector assets and capital projects
Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards and codes of practice
Experience in leadership, mentoring and coaching of junior engineers
Strong stakeholder engagement skills

Responsibilities

Report regularly to the Principal Engineer
Collaborate with design managers to plan milestones and reviews
Check specifications, datasheets, drawings and 3D models for quality, safety and standards
Coach and mentor junior engineers
Review construction site and supply chain design queries and change requests
Input into CDM and commissioning strategy meetings
Update colleagues on potential improvements in design
Liaise with other departments and project teams on design requirements
Manage quality through the design workflow and project timeline
Support other leads to deliver outputs on time and to standard
Drive sustainability and low carbon designs
Promote offsite build and modular construction
