Job summary

Anglian Water is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of innovative water infrastructure solutions. You will guide junior engineers, drive sustainable and cost-effective decisions, and ensure safety and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related).
• Chartered status or working towards chartered preferred.
• Proven experience in mechanical design, ideally in water/infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review mechanical designs for safety and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Promote digital tools and modular construction techniques.
• Drive safety by design and reduce life-cycle costs.
• Champion sustainability and innovation across the design lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster technical excellence.
• Work with project leaders on strategic engineering decisions.
