Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is recruiting a Senior Civil Engineer for the Peterborough area to lead technical outputs on water recycling projects and mentor junior engineers. You will review designs, ensure compliance with standards, and collaborate with BIM teams to optimise delivery.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in civil engineering or equivalent experience.
• Chartered status with ICE or IStructE preferred or working towards.
• Significant UK water civil design experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on water recycling projects.
• Review designs, calculations, drawings and 3D models for quality and compliance.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and drive design quality.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, health and safety in design.
• Collaborate with BIM managers and project teams to optimise delivery.
• Lead design reviews and support offsite construction and modular solutions.
