Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in the UK seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical and EICA design across major water and wastewater projects.

You will provide technical leadership, coordinate multi-disciplinary designs and mentor engineers. Based in the UK with Chartered Engineer status, you will shape technical solutions, review drawings and control philosophies, collaborate with clients and contractors, and support development of the electrical capability across the

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or working towards registration.
• Experience delivering electrical or EICA solutions within complex infrastructure.
• Proven experience leading technical delivery across multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles, specifications and docs.
• Experience producing and reviewing deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, Control Philosophies and technical reports.
• Excellent communication skills with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
• Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers.
• Experience in UK water sector (Desirable).
• Background in utilities or regulated infrastructure (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of electrical and EICA design solutions across major water and wastewater projects.
• Provide technical leadership and support throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and internal specialists to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
• Mentor developing engineers and contribute to growth of technical capability.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary designs, resolve technical challenges and meet regulatory requirements.
• Support development of engineers within the team and share knowledge.
