Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical & ICA design for major water sector projects in the UK. The role offers hybrid working, with 3 days in office/site, and opportunities to shape multi-disciplinary solutions across domestic and international projects.

You will coordinate a team, deliver critical technical outputs, and mentor engineers while contributing to bids and business growth within a supportive, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Electrical Engineering and Chartered status.
• Proven experience leading electrical design delivery in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Knowledge of water industry codes and standards (e.g., WIMES).
• Strong problem-solving and independent work capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate or manage a team of Electrical & ICA engineers on complex projects.
• Lead technical deliverables: SLDs, Cable Block Diagrams, Load Schedules.
• Provide input to project design deliverables and manage budgets/time.
• Mentor junior staff and grow team capability in Electrical & ICA.
• Support bid proposals and liaise with multi-disciplinary teams.
