Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead design delivery for water and civil infrastructure projects in the UK. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams across offices in Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter and Swansea, ensuring high-quality electrical design outputs and adherence to standards.

The role offers hybrid working and opportunities for career development, with involvement in landmark projects for water clients.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer status is required.
• Experience coordinating or managing an Electrical design delivery team.
• Strong knowledge of electrical designs and water industry codes (e.g., WIMES) and safety practices.
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and lead multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate or manage a team of Electrical & ICA engineers for delivery of technical design work.
• Lead and produce deliverables such as SLDs, Cable Block Diagrams, Load Schedules, MCC specifications, Control Philosophies.
• Manage time and budgets to meet project milestones.
• Collaborate with client and AtkinsRéalis teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Provide technical input for bid proposals and business development.
