Job summary
Cadent is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the specification, design, delivery and commissioning of complex E&I systems across our network. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, manage risk, influence stakeholders and ensure safety, compliance and engineering excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
You’ll act as the technical authority, coordinating with project teams, contractors and vendors to deliver reliable, future-ready solutions while supporting the E&I function to meet
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent).
- CEng or IEng status, or demonstrated competence at that level.
- Membership of a relevant professional body, such as the IET.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across specification, design, delivery and commissioning of complex engineering systems.
- Act as central technical authority, coordinating teams, contractors and vendors.
- Support E&I design reviews and competency assessments of technicians and contractors.
- Develop and improve engineering procedures, standards and best practices.
- Drive research, technology development and adoption of digital tools for asset performance.
