Job summary

Hoare Lea is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Senior Engineer to deliver high quality, sustainable electrical design across multiple built environment projects. You will join the Electrical team based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh, with opportunities to work across Scotland and the wider UK.

You will lead defined elements or larger schemes, develop junior staff, and engage with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliant, commercially aware outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• Working towards or holding IEng/CEng is desirable.
• Proficient with LV distribution, lighting, earthing/protection and emergency/standby systems.

Responsibilities

• Take briefs and deliver electrical design work from inception through to completion.
• Produce calculations, drawings and technical documentation to standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate electrical design with MEP and specialist groups, and third-party consultants.
• Review contractor submissions and check site installations against design intent.
• Attend design, client and project meetings and report progress.
