Job summary

Hoare Lea is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Senior Engineer to deliver high-quality electrical design across multiple built-environment projects. Based in Plymouth or Exeter, you will join our dedicated Electrical team and help drive innovative, sustainable solutions.

You will own deliverables, coordinate with other disciplines, and mentor junior staff, with opportunities to lead smaller schemes or major projects while maintaining deadlines and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Building Services Engineering; industry membership preferred.
• Strong technical competence in LV distribution, lighting, earthing/protection and emergency/standby systems.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and liaising with clients/contractors.

Responsibilities

• Take briefs and deliver electrical design work from inception through to completion.
• Produce calculations, drawings and technical documentation to standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate electrical design with other disciplines and third-party consultants.
• Review contractor submissions and witness testing/commissioning activities.
• Lead defined elements or larger projects and mentor junior staff.
