Job summary

Hoare Lea is seeking a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team in Plymouth or Exeter. You will deliver electrical design across multi-disciplinary building projects, working with a collaborative and high-performing team in a well-established Southwest presence.

You will mentor junior engineers, engage with internal and external stakeholders, and develop concepts that meet brief and regulatory standards, while ensuring quality and client satisfaction on diverse schemes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering on complex electrical design projects.
• Experience with BIM, Revit, Dialux/Relux and Electrical OM.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the day-to-day technical delivery of the electrical design services for multi-disciplinary projects across several building sectors.
• Lead the development of initial strategic concepts for projects ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards.
• Interact regularly with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a communicative, collaborative and timely approach to delivery.
• Work with the team leader to help monitor fee expenditure, resources and work delivered.
• Mentor and support our ‘next-gen’ professionals, including apprentices and graduates.
