Job summary
Hoare Lea is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Senior Engineer to deliver high‑quality, sustainable electrical design across multiple projects in the built environment. You will join the Electrical team based in our Plymouth or Exeter office and contribute to cutting-edge facilities across the Southwest and beyond.
You will own deliverables, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support junior staff while progressing your professional development.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Building Services Engineering; industry membership preferred.
- Working towards or holding IEng/CEng.
Responsibilities
- Take briefs and deliver electrical design work from inception through to completion.
- Produce electrical calculations, drawings and technical documentation that comply with regulations and client standards.
- Coordinate electrical design with other disciplines and third‑party consultants.
- Review contractor submissions and witness testing/commissioning activities.
- Lead defined elements or larger schemes and mentor junior staff.
