Job summary

EDF power solutions is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership across renewable projects from development to handover. You will help ensure safety, compliance and commercial viability while supporting the lifecycle from design to commissioning.

The role is hybrid with some home working and one to two days per month in London, Edinburgh or Durham offices; travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering infrastructure or energy projects across development, design, construction and commissioning lifecycles.
• Knowledge of UK standards, regulations and grid requirements for renewable energy.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering support across solar PV, battery storage, private wire and wind projects.
• Support projects through development, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Review engineering outputs from consultants, contractors and OEMs.
• Assist with optioneering and feasibility assessments to identify practical, commercially viable solutions.
• Contribute to engineering standards, technical specifications and employer requirements.
• Support procurement activities through technical assessment of tender submissions.
• Identify and manage engineering risks in line with project requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and project teams.
• Promote continuous improvement, innovation and best practice across projects.
• Represent EDF power solutions in technical discussions with external stakeholders.
